Ansel Adams is an amazing photographer who used medium format (film) combined with his co-founded technique of very low f stops (f64) to achieve high contrast and high detail black and white photography. They say a picture says a thousand words, Ansel proved that not only photographs can provoke many words and thoughts, but words themselves can provoke a myriad of thoughts. The following are a collection of both photos and words which have inspired and stirred me.

"Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready to have somebody click the shutter."

"When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence."

"A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words."
